i encourage bi people on here to explore the rich and diverse avenues of bi activism that exist amongst local bi organizations, especially ones dedicated to bi people + health care and bi people + domestic/sexual violence and bi women’s social organizations. one organization i’d recommend checking out to start off with would be the boston bi women’s network. i especially encourage bi people who think bi activism is “solely” characterized by or “dominated” by “upper middle-class cis feminine white bi women who write whiny thinkpieces for liberal feminist publications” to check these resources out. if your conception of bi activism is limited to what people on tumblr perceive of it, that’s your fault, not the fault of bi activism as a whole. even just looking at the resources listed on the boston bi women’s network website, such as links to domestic violence resources, it’s pretty evident that the average bi woman cares about substantial issues that go beyond “yelling at gay people about inclusion”. and if you’re not actively seeking out those actual avenues of bi activism that again says more about you than about bi activism or the bi community as a whole. 😉
